Adventures at the ballpark

"All good things must come to an end," or so the saying goes. This past summer I took on a little side job working at our local ballpark in an attempt to keep busy. I, along with the help of some friends, worked at a little kiosk behind homeplate where we prepared and sold the most delicious cinnamon roasted nuts. The whole experience proved to be a lot of fun and one in which I enjoyed doing. Well, 73 games later, the season is wrapping up and the end is in sight. It's time to retire my apron until next season.
But, what fun is it if you don't go out with a bang?! Tonight, our stand sponsored a "Wawa Gas Give-away" in which we sold 1000 bags of nuts and raffled off a gas gift card. Lucky number 375 was the winner in the drawing. The crowd got really into it all and made the night so much fun.
Pictured is none other than the beloved mascot of the stadium, Ferrous the pig, as he drew the winning number.
