Robert comes home from training tomorrow!!! It's crazy to look back and think how fast this month has flown by. It's been filled with some good and some not so good moments. I've been stretched in ways I couldn't have imagined and have hit my share of bumps in the road, but I've learned and grown along the way. I have much to be thankful for.
This next month is sure to be hectic as our apartment lease ends and we become nomads travelling from place to place. But, God is so good in providing for our needs. Robert's family has reserved us a room at a bed and breakfast for week and my parents have graciously opened up their home to housing us as well. We'll even be able to take some weekend get-a-ways.
This week's praise report:
Lauren ---->
* I have made contact with the area directors for Officer's Christian Fellowship. I will be meeting this month with them and am look forward to the spiritual mentoring relationship they'll be able to provide.
* A door opened up for me to get involved with the Women's Missionary Fellowship at my church and I'm excited about being able to serve and spread excitement for missions.
* I met and had dinner with a Tanzanian family this past weekend. God continues to show me that while MY plans for going to Africa on missions have been delayed, He has brought these men and women to my own backyard.
Robert ---->
* He has continued to make friends with the guys in his unit. Continue to pray for these relationships.
* Robert has been able to get more rest this week. Fifteen hour days have ended!!!
